It Leap Day... what a fun day. I've had a great day. Things are going wonderfully for me.

Anyway... here is E at Christmas time... she loves the piano. She loves to sing and dance. Her older cousin did the same thing when she was younger... E will have a great voice like her cousin. This is a cute picture and I loved it.

Ok... I was riding with a friend and we saw a cow on the side of the road... (The first cow in Texas that I've seen not on a truck or having someone ride him down the middle of downtown.) It was so funny... I wanted to get a picture but couldn't get my phone out of my pocket... So it was taken a ways down the road. The little black dot... is a cow. My friend and I laughed hard.

S loves Nintendo... He is a Mario freak. My brother got him this car for Christmas. He is showing it off. e's head is poking out.

Just a little note to go with the pictures.

I thought I would add a little to let everyone know what's happening in Texas. Not a whole lot. Mom and I just do your thing and try not to bother the locals... Really people are very nice here. I never have to open my own door anyway. I'm still on crutches... 10 more days. It's still a little hurty, but I'm NOT walking on it. I don't want to have to do more crutches. The one good thing about crutches (I'm thinking postively) is I get a great work-out EVERY single day. I am BUFF. Fortunately I have always had very strong hands and arms... good thing... I have callous (sp?) on the palms of my hands. My arm doesn't hurt from the break last summer anymore. It was questionable if I was going to break it again. (It felt like I was.) But the muscles are protecting it now. I can do amazing things on crutches now. I know I'm cool :0)... just kidding.
My friend Jill's daughter, Rachel, had surgery on Monday. I was fortunate to be able to help her, I've never seen a kid throw-up so many times. She did it with grace and dignity though. Jill and I had it down to the point here we could hold everything and get her cleaned up in no time flat. She was a real trooper. She's home now and doing really well... she gets to go back to school tomorrow. Jill's REALLY happy about that.
I've learned a lot about myself these last couple of weeks. I'm O.K. Someday... soon I hope, I'll be able to walk. I really want to get on with the my life. I'm tired of this.

I took this picture at Temple Square... I was with my mom and her cousin. We went to the muesum and watched the new movie at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. This is the reflection of the Assembly Hall and the Temple, in a building across the street from Temple Square. It was so fun. We did things at a leisurely (Mom speed... slow) pace.

I made this... My mom wanted a new quilt and I had a lot of time... (that was before I got a life in Texas.) I saw this in an advertisment and really liked it. It didn't have any instructions so I figured it out own my own. It's cool. Mom got to pick out her colors and I made it. I actually still have to put it all together (batting and quilting it.) I'm very proud of it.

This is a funny one. My cousin is a great mommy. This is her youngest, he was eating dried mango's... he loves them. I guess he didn't want to waste it and was very tired. He is saving it for later. I took this one on the way home from my other cousin's wedding. We were in the car. We laughed a long time at this. He was about 18 months old.

This was a GREAT day. Last year... May, 2007, my sister's and my oldest niece went to Women's Conference at BYU. This was the only picture we took... I did it and was still in the picture. It rained so much... but we were prepared... (unlike the year before, not prepared) It was so fun just hanging out with some of my best friends.

This one is old too... but very funny. This is my nephew in a 5 year old's dress.. he was 18 at the time. I took this one on my cell phone. He is serving his mission ... right now he is in Memphis, Tenneessee, it is actually in the Little Rock, Arkanasa Mission. It was E's dress... she was very distressed about it. We all laughed.

This one is really old but really great... Christmas 2006, My Grandma (E's great-grandma) and E were reading together... E is ALWAYS up for a book. She loves books... she's in kindergaten and says, "I'm not a reader." She is though... she just doesn't realize it. Someday I want to draw this one... Isn't it great.

This is J's family. Taken at S's baptism in McCall. Today was Valentine's Day... the most exciting thing I did was buy a plane ticket to go back to Idaho, in April. It was a good day for me though. I didn't feel depressed or sorry for myself. For some reason... I'm calm about my life. I'm happy with the life I've been given... I want more... but someday it will happen for me. I know I am not forgotten. I couldn't have said that in years past. Even being in Texas is great.

This is my youngest nephew S... he turned 8 a few days after this picture was taken. He used this picture in his invitations to his baptism. He was so excitied to be baptized by his dad. S is a Second grader and very smart. He likes to play Nintendo... he think, eats and breathes Nintendo. He had his appendix taken out this summer and the first thing he said after the anesthesia wore off was that he needed his cousin to finish the last level on his game... it was so funny. He was one sick puppy for a while... but he is great now. Another reason I miss Idaho so much.

The big, scary, bald man was playing with his neice (E) and she left him in charge of the baby... she's young, she didn't know that it was a bad idea... you would think she's learned by now... she'll figure it out soon...

Today was my OLDEST niece's birthday...she turned 21... HOLY COW !!! This is a picture of 2 of my nieces... they are both so beautiful. This is also taken at Thanksgiving 2007. Still not out and about... The doctor says three more weeks of crutches. I hate them... but I'm not to bad at getting around anymore. My arm doesn't hurt anymore...
Anyway, here is a picture of my OLDEST niece, at Thanksgiving 2007. Her baby is due in April 2008... she wanted to show her brother who is on his mission in Arkansas. She is doing great... I miss her very a lot. I'm going bad to Idaho in April just in time for her baby to come. Yeah!!

Here is one of my nephews. He fell asleep after Thanksgiving dinner. Notice one of his eyes are open (that's kind of creapy). My brother, the royal pain in the butt, colored his fingernails with a red marker while he was asleep. My brother always keeps things exciting, he had just spend the afternoon writing on all of his siblings. There were 3 rules that we grew up with 1. Don't throw rocks. 2. Don't bite. 3. Don't write on yourself or others. So that was why my mom spend most of her time hitting him and telling him to quit it. We had a great holiday.

This was the night before E's first day of school... she was so nervous... she set everything out the night before... she took up the WHOLE couch. That is her "new" dress, her shoes, her shorts (to wear under her dress so the boys won't see her undies), her backpack full of her supplies, and then her sweater. This happened at about 6pm... no one was allowed to sit on the couch after that. She is a big planner... not so organized, but will always come up with something. Most of the time it involves pink. I miss her, her brother, her cousins... everyone.

Still in my files of pictures. I only have another week of crutches. This was taken at the four corners monument... It closed about 15 minutes before we got there. So we just took a picture of the sign. We were tired from driving a long way... we keep going and didn't go back to see the real place... oh, well, we'll get it on another trip.

This is a Crawdad (Sp?)... T (my brother-in-law) caught it and was holding it. We were 4 wheeling and stopped to rest at Jump Creek in Owyhee County. We were checking out the water and saw him hiding in the rocks... T was brave (or crazy) enough to catch the little sucker. E screamed like a little girl (which she is).... is was funny. S thought it was cool, but didn't want to get to close to it. It could have reached out and touch him. He wasn't willing to let that happen.

This is S the day before he got released from the hospital after his appendix burst. He is walking the halls... at first he hated getting up and rarely did to go walking. Then he hit a turning point and that's ALL he wanted to do. His dad is pushing his I.V. pole. He stayed in the hospital about 5 days. His appendix burst about 2 days before he said anything... he suddenly got sick and threw-up... his mom changed his clothes and took him to the E.R. He kept saying he didn't want to go to the hospital because they would just do surgery. He was scared... eventually he was begging for relief from the pain. He was a very lucky, blessed little boy. He was 7, this was back in Aug. of 2007. He missed the first few days of school. But he's fine now.

This was a Egret or a Herron at the San Antonio Zoo... those stepping stones in front of the bird were a perfect background for the picture. The steps had water running through them. I was about 5 feet away from the bird. They really make a big mess... there was poop everywhere.

This is another picture taken on the way to Texas. We were just outside Moab, Utah. There were so many neat mountains and interesting rocks there. I loved seeing all them. The scenery was beautiful most of the way. Until we got to Texas. Then there was NOTHING.... for a long time.
